Custom software
Tandem Studio builds custom software and web applications for startups and small to mid-size businesses: the system you can't buy off the shelf, built by a senior team working with AI, and handed over whole.
The problem
Every growing business hits the point where the tools it bought stop fitting the way it works. The spreadsheet has become a system. The SaaS product needs three workarounds. The thing customers actually want doesn't exist yet.
The usual answers are a large agency with a twelve-month retainer, or a freelancer who disappears at the hard part. Neither was built for a company your size.
What we build
Web applications, internal tools, customer portals, data and workflow systems, integrations, and the AI agents and automations that sit on top of them. Built to scale, built for security, and ready for production the day they ship.
Customer-facing products and portals with a real design system behind them, not a template.
The system your team is currently running in spreadsheets and inboxes, built properly.
A live agent in your voice and the workflows that let a small team operate like a larger one. See the agents.
The plumbing between the tools you already pay for, so the data finally moves on its own.
How it's faster
The five of us have each shipped production systems at companies like StockX, New Relic, Slacker Radio, and Microsoft. We use AI for research, scaffolding, first drafts, documentation, and pipelines, the work that used to need a bench of juniors. The strategic, design, and architecture decisions stay with people who have made them before, with money and users on the line.
That's how a team of five delivers in sixty days what an agency staffs for a year, and why the result is something you can run without us.
How it works
Week one is diagnosis: we sit down with your team, map the bottleneck, and leave you with a written brief and a fixed scope. Weeks two through eight are the build, with all five of us in the same room and no hand-offs. You leave with working software in your own repository and cloud, and ten months of direct access to the team afterward, with no retainer.
Read about the JumpQuestions
Q. What kind of custom software does Tandem build?
Web applications, internal tools, customer portals, data and workflow systems, and AI agents, for startups and small to mid-size businesses. If the thing you need doesn't exist off the shelf, or the off-the-shelf version has you working around it, that's the work.
Q. How can a sixty-day build be production-ready?
The engineering is done by senior operators who have run production systems at scale, and AI handles the parts that used to need a bench: research, scaffolding, first drafts, documentation, and pipelines. The architecture and security calls are made by people, which is what makes the speed safe.
Q. What does it cost?
A Jump is a flat $25,000 for sixty days, paid once. There is no retainer, no hourly billing, and no contractors. Week one produces a written brief and a fixed scope, so the price doesn't move after you've started.
Q. Who owns the code?
You do. It lands in your repository, on your cloud, with your design files and an operating playbook. If you want to keep building with us afterward you can; you never have to.
